Meet SwimKit: Official Partner of Lifesaving Sport

Following the recent launch of the partnership between Water Safety Ireland and SwimKit, we are delighted to introduce the team behind one of Ireland’s leading aquatic sports suppliers.

For more than 15 years, SwimKit has supported swimming clubs, leisure centres and aquatic organisations across Ireland. Today, the company works with over 80 swimming pools nationwide and is the sole distributor for Speedo in leisure centres throughout the country.

Founded by Waterford native Nickey Burke, SwimKit has built a strong reputation within Irish aquatics through its commitment to quality equipment, teamwear and athlete support.

Nickey’s connection with the water began at an early age through swimming and summers spent in Dunmore East. His involvement in aquatic sport has continued throughout his career as a coach, mentor and leader within the swimming community, including serving as Irish National Open Water Coach on eight occasions at international 10km competitions.

Speaking about the partnership, Nickey said:

Through the partnership, SwimKit will support National Squads and Irish Teams while helping to promote the continued growth of Lifesaving Sport across Ireland.
