We are delighted to announce that the Water Safety Ireland National Awards Ceremony 2024 took place on Thursday October 3rd at Dublin Castle, celebrating the outstanding contributions of individuals and groups who have worked tirelessly to promote water safety and save lives across Ireland. This prestigious event will brought together a community of lifesavers, educators, volunteers, and advocates whose collective efforts have made our waters safer for everyone.

Each year, the National Awards recognize exceptional acts of courage, commitment, and education in water safety. From lifesaving rescues to the tireless work of volunteers and instructors, these awards highlight the bravery and dedication of those who prevent drownings and increase awareness of water safety best practices.

Categories of Awards:

  • SEIKO Just In Time Rescue Awards: Celebrating individuals who have demonstrated exceptional bravery in water rescues.
  • Volunteer of the Year: Honoring individuals who have gone above and beyond in promoting water safety.
  • Sportsperson of the Year: Recognizing sporting achievements from individuals who have pushed the boundary of the sport.
  • Long-Service Awards: Acknowledging decades of commitment from volunteers, lifeguards, and instructors who have dedicated their lives to keeping others safe.
